Whew! I'm back. I was missing my blog and baking. So on Sunday, after a busy birthday weekend for my little guy (He turned five), I clean my WHOLE house and decided to relax and bake something.
Hmmm. What do I bake? I took out my go-to baking book, Baking, From My Home To Yours, by Dorie Greenspan, and looked through it. I found blueberry crumb cake. Mmm. That looked good. And it was something quick I could grab on my way out to work in the morning.
Yes, work. I sure am missing getting to stay home. But such is life. People have to work. And I do like my job. I work for two great oral surgeons. And I love all of the girls I work with.
So....I went to the store and bought the blueberries and started making the crumb cake. It was easy and fun to put together. It smelled SO good too. My little one said, "I smell cake!" I grabbed a piece yesterday morning on my way out to work. It was perfect and delicious even the following day.

Looks great. I made a cranberry crumb cake at Christmas and LOVED it so I reckon this one would be as good. Certainly lovely to have to cheer yourself up before work!
